Hello Parents,
We are appreciative that you have found our online registration page. If you have not done so, please click on the "register" link in the above right hand corner to create a user account. This must be done to register participants.
All information entered this year will be automatically entered into your registration forms for subsequent years. The system also updates the participants age and divisions in which they are allowed to play. For "League Age" charts, click here for Boys, or here for Girls.
This new system will allow us to send bulk email and texts out to all registered users for all correspondence, or we could send out email and texts to certain divisions and teams. Basically, this means you shouldn't be getting a lot of unnecessary emails and texts like some systems send out.

2021 Spring DLL - SOFTBALL

De Soto Little League Softball:
At De Soto Little League our primary objectives are to teach the game of softball, develop our participants and to provide the children of our community an opportunity to have fun. 

DIVISIONS
Player divisions are set up by the official Little League Organization and are based on the players age. We offer programs beginning at age 4 and extending up to age 16. If parents feel that their child can compete at a higher level, they can request that their child be moved up into the next division.  

SCHEDULES
We will finalize game schedules during the first week of April. All teams will schedule a minimum of 12 games. Practices will begin in mid-March. Team managers will set up and communicate practice and game schedules to the parents.  

COSTS
The De Soto Little League board of directors takes great pride in maintaining a top tier program compared to the surrounding communities. Our program is the lowest cost in our county.
Registration fees:
  1. Tee ball: $50 and includes a hat and a jersey. This is a change from previous years. After discussing how to help our families we decided to try this based on kids often not wanting to wear the socks and pants that have been included in the past.
  2. All other divisions: $95 which includes a jersey, pants, visor, belt and socks.
  3. Note, the machine pitch division will be getting knickers style pants which will have a drawstring in the pants and so no belt is needed.
  4. Each family is also charge a $75 Volunteer Service fee. After the family provides 4 hours of volunteer service to the league this deposit will be refunded.
  5. We do give a $45 discount on each additional child that a family enrolls after the first child. PLEASE NOTE****That discount DOES NOT apply in the case of tee ball.
  6. So for example, if a family would have two children in tee ball there will not be a discount. This should not affect many families but I just wanted to be honest and upfront from the beginning.
  7. However if a family registers a child in tee ball and a child in another division they WILL still receive the $45 dollar discount.

TEAM MANAGERS AND COACHES
  1. If you decide to sign up as a potential manager or assistant coach and are approved by the DLL board of directors, as a manger or a coach, you will be given a $20 discount off your registration fee. This will be returned to you in the form of a check after the season is completed.
  2. Managers, reminder that your $75 volunteer service fee is returned after your team equipment bag is returned at the end of the season. You are not obligated to work the additional 4 hours of service time due to all the extra duties you carry out as the head coach for your team. Thank you.
  3. Assistant coaches please note, your $75 volunteer service fee is NOT connected to your service on the team. Your 4 hours of volunteer service must still be completed above and beyond any time you serve as an assistant coach. We appreciate your help greatly that is why we are offering you a $20 refund on your registration fee at the conclusion of the season. Thank you.


COVID CONSIDERATIONS
Parents, players, and guests will comply with all guidelines and requirements implemented based on city, county, federal or other organizations while participating in DeSoto Little League activities. Due to the pandemic and potential for suspensions, delays or cancellations

DeSoto Little League will offer prorated credits (or refunds) if the season is fully or partially canceled due to pandemic-related problems.
1. If the cancelation occurs prior to uniforms ordered, full refunds will be offered if entire season is cancelled.
2. If the cancellation occurs after uniforms have been ordered, but prior to first game, a partial refund, less cost of uniforms, insurance and charter costs will be considered.
3. After games start, a partial refund, less cost of uniforms, insurance and charter costs will be considered.
